| Biography |
Owen is a Consultant Psychologist who has worked in the field of persistent pain for over 25 years. He started his career in South Essex and Northampton before moving to Wales in 2002 to work on the pain management programme at Bronllys Hospital. Since then, the service has developed to encompass fibromyalgia, CFS/ME and weight management which are all common problems which co-exist with pain. The service has also embraced the use of digital technologies to ensure people can access services when and where they need to. Since 2021 he has taken on the role of National Clinical Lead for Persistent Pain with Welsh Government and has worked with colleagues to relaunch the Living with Persistent Pain in Wales guidance.
