Biography

I qualified as an RGN in 1991 at the Westminster School of Nursing. Over the past 25 years, I have championed the improvement of respiratory care including developing the national Asthma UK Emergency Care Program whilst working for Asthma UK, working with industry, NHSIQ, and the Wessex Academic Health and Science Network in the development of the national ‘breathlessness’ project. After completing a BSc in LTC (respiratory), I have published real-life respiratory research and influenced standards in respiratory care at Portsmouth University Hospital, which includes developing the Wessex Asthma Toolbox and the national multi-award-winning MISSION asthma, COPD, and breathlessness project. I have also developed, championed, and supported FeNO in primary care with work through NIOX and NICE. I am currently involved in the delivery and education of research and respiratory clinical care in general practice.
