This module provides practical and pragmatic approaches to diagnostic work up for patients presenting with suspected asthma or COPD during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Learning Objectives

This module will inform you on:

  • what to do if a patient presents with ongoing respiratory symptoms during the Covid-19 pandemic
  • if a diagnosis of asthma is highly likely
  • what do to for patients for whom a diagnosis of COPD is suspected
  • if the clinical picture is suggestive of a lung cancer component (chest pain, haemoptysis, older age, low body mass index [BMI] and prolonged smoking history).
