Biography |
Maureen is a Matron in Barts Health NHS Trust with 31 years of nursing experience; 21 of which is in TB management. Her background in Critical Care, Cardio-Thoracic and Cardiology in various Trusts has contributed to her plethora of knowledge and experience.
For 15 years, Maureen has been instrumental, and currently leads, the Newham TB Service at Newham University Hospital in East London, which had the highest TB rates across Western Europe. She avidly supports her staff with their career development and enjoys facilitating teaching sessions within the acute trust, primary care and higher institutions.
In recognition of Maureen’s leadership and resilience, she is a nominated finalist for a BARTS Health Heroes Award 2023.
