I have responsibility for the clinical leadership and operational management for the SHSCT Sexual Reproductive Service (SRH) including: · GUM, Contraception and Abortion Services. This involves: · using advanced nursing skills, knowledge, and experience to provide clinical nurse leadership to CASH team. · regional advocate for driving service change & development to meet population need. · promoting SRH speciality to nurses to consider training for this branch of nursing. · Teaching about CASH · Sharing Vision for integrated CASH teams · Regional Lead Nurse for Queens Nursing institute- QNI. In my 36 years nursing my background includes posts in: · Emergency Nurse- ED · OPD nurse · Elderly Care- Deputy & Nurse Manager · Crossroads Care- Deputy Manager · Research Nurse- Male Infertility · Fertility Nurse · Health Visiting · School Nurse · Health Hub nurse 16–25-year-olds sexual health · Contraception Sister · Lead Nurse CASH I have always endeavoured to focus on the client & enjoy EBP to promote best practice within budget constraints. I have published papers, presented at conferences in NI, UK & internationally. I won both the BFAS & CFAS Nurse prize- the 1st in NI to win. Also, recently I was awarded the Star Responder * award for Care Opinion nationally. A ‘can do’ attitude, friendly smile & kindness to everyone cannot be underestimated.
