Odette Rodda RNC, RHV, NMP, MSc Allergy, AFHEA. Dip HE Nursing (Child), BSc Child Heath, BSc Public Health,
Member of BAEN – British Allergy Education Network, Member of WANG – Wessex Allergy Network Group, Member of BSACI.
Odette is an Advanced Nurse Specialist for Children and Young People in Dermatology and Allergy at University Hospital Dorset, appointed in 2009. Odette has extensive paediatric nursing experience, starting her career as a paediatric nurse in Winchester 1992.
In a career spanning nearly 30 years , Odette has experience in a range of paediatric settings including a private school, acute paediatrics as staff nurse and taking on leadership roles of deputy sister and then senior sister , teaching roles at Southampton University, co-authoring on Paediatric Respiratory Skills . Odette is a registered Specialist Practitioner in Public Heath – Health Visitor and an independent Prescriber.
In her current role, Odette leads and manages the children’s dermatology service whilst continuing to provide independent nurse-led clinics for both dermatology and allergy patients. This role involves working across the boundaries of paediatric and adolescent care, spanning over primary, intermediate, and secondary care services. Odette is a lead for Safeguarding children. Odette us working to publish her recent MSc Allergy research on Adolescents.
Odette strives to offer the best evidence-based practice to CYP and their families within the service, ensuring the voice of the CYP is always heard.
